How You’ve Been Conditioned Since Birth
You weren’t born afraid.
You were taught to be.
Conditioned. Controlled. Coerced.
From the moment you opened your eyes, the world started shaping you — not to be free, but to fit in.
To obey.
To comply.
To keep quiet.
To stay in your lane.
Conditioning Starts Before You Can Even Speak
Before you could talk, you were already learning the rules.
Your parents — bless them — passed on what they were taught.
Not because they’re evil, but because they didn’t know any better.
“Don’t do that.”
“You can’t say that.”
“Be good.”
“Do what you’re told.”
“Fit in.”
“People like us don’t do things like that.”
It was never about truth. It was about control.
They were scared. So they taught you fear too.
Fear of being wrong.
Fear of being judged.
Fear of standing out.
Fear of failing.
So you learned to live safe.
Then School Doubled Down
Sit still.
Put your hand up.
Speak only when spoken to.
Memorise this.
Repeat that.
Pass the test.
You weren’t taught how to think.
You were taught what to think.
Fall in line. Get the grade. Don’t question.
Creativity? Squashed.
Individuality? Punished.
Curiosity? Distracted.
And if you didn’t play along, you were labelled:
Difficult. Disruptive. Problem child.
But really? You were just awake.
The Social Cage Tightens With Friends and Media
Your peer group finishes the job.
If you say something different, you’re weird.
If you dress different, you’re mocked.
If you dream bigger, you’re “full of yourself”.
So you shrink.
You scroll social media and everyone seems happier, richer, better looking, more successful.
So you compare.
The Lie of “Can’t”
The word can’t is one of the most powerful control tools in history.
They say it like a fact:
“You can’t do that.”
“You can’t make money doing that.”
“You can’t be free. You’ve got responsibilities.”
But most of the time, it’s not “can’t” — it’s won’t.
Won’t question.
Won’t risk.
Won’t go against the herd.
Because of fear.
Because of conditioning.
Because you’ve been trained to stay small.
You can’t control where you were born, what school you went to, or what your parents told you.
But you can control how you respond to it now.
Every belief can be questioned.
Every thought can be changed.
Every emotion can be processed.
Every action can be realigned.
It’s hard, yeah. But it’s possible.
Every choice has a consequence.
Good or bad.
So choose wisely.
Not out of fear.
But from clarity.
From truth.
From power.
So What Do You Do Now?
Start questioning everything – Who gave you that belief? Do you still want it?
Notice your language – Every time you say “I can’t”, stop and ask: “Is that true?”
Challenge your emotions – Are they yours? Or inherited?
Act in spite of fear – Fear is normal. But it’s not the driver. You are.
Final Thought: You Were Never Broken
They convinced you that you were too small, too stupid, too poor, too late.
But they lied.
You were never broken.
Just conditioned.
